All new domain names must be approved by the Executive Council Office and purchased through eServices.
If you, or your developer purchase a domain name outside of these processes, your website or service cannot go live to the public. You must go through the process to transfer a domain name to the government.
Transactional services
You cannot purchase domain names for transactional services.
Users must always begin their journey on Yukon.ca – the government’s website for information and services. For example, Renew a vehicle registration. Never advertise any other URL other than the Yukon.ca page.
Work with your department website manager to get a Yukon.ca bridge page set up.
If you're advertising your service, you must direct users to the Yukon.ca page and not directly to your service.
