What is a data collection notice?
The data collection notice is the section of a form where you let people know:
- how you are going to use the information they input;
- the authority under which you are collecting the information; and
- how they can contact the government to find out more about how you collect, use and disclose this information.
Your data collection notice is specific to your form and its relevant legislation. You can speak with your department ATIPP coordinator to help you write your notice.
